The JET 350129 is a bench-style mill/drill machine equipped with a Newall DP700 digital readout (DRO) and an X-axis table powerfeed. It combines drilling and milling operations in a single unit, making it a practical choice for machine shops, maintenance facilities, and trade professionals who need precise material removal without a full-size knee mill footprint. The integrated Newall DP700 DRO provides real-time axis position feedback, reducing setup time and improving repeatability. The X-axis powerfeed automates table travel, reducing operator fatigue during longer milling passes. The unit ships at 710 pounds, indicating a robust cast-iron construction suited for production use.
This mill/drill is designed for use in metalworking and fabrication environments where space is a consideration but precision cannot be sacrificed. Typical applications include drilling, face milling, end milling, and light contouring work on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The DRO and powerfeed package makes it particularly well-suited for job shops and maintenance departments that run repetitive operations or require consistent dimensional accuracy across multiple workpieces.
Designed as an OEM-configured mill/drill unit. DRO and powerfeed components are factory-matched to the JMD-18PFNA machine platform. Consult JET documentation for compatible tooling, collet systems, and accessory compatibility.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright or machinery technician familiar with machine tool setup. The machine must be mounted on a level, structurally adequate surface capable of supporting its operating weight. Electrical connections must comply with local codes and the machine nameplate voltage and amperage requirements before powering on. Disconnect and lockout all power sources before performing any adjustments, tooling changes, or service on the DRO, powerfeed, or spindle assembly.
