The JCM INDUSTRIES 432-1320X4 is a flanged stainless steel tapping sleeve designed to create a branch connection on an existing pressurized main without requiring a full line shutdown. Constructed from 304L stainless steel and rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure, this sleeve accepts a 4-inch flanged tap outlet and fits pipe with an outside diameter range of 13.10 inches to 13.50 inches, corresponding to a nominal 12-inch pipe. It meets AWWA C-228, ANSI 61, NSF 61, and MSS SP-60 standards, making it suitable for potable water distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and waterworks contractors are the primary installers for this type of fitting.
This tapping sleeve is used in municipal water distribution and industrial piping applications where a live tap is required on a 12-inch main. The flanged outlet connects directly to a tapping valve and tapping machine, allowing a new service branch or lateral to be added under pressure. The straight fitting configuration and stainless steel body make it well suited for buried or exposed installations where corrosion resistance is a priority. It is commonly specified on potable water mains, reclaimed water lines, and industrial process piping where NSF 61 certification is required.
