The JB A31002 is a 1/8 inch outer diameter extended access fitting designed for use with Sil-phos alloy and copper fittings. This fitting extends the length of a larger line by approximately two inches and includes a cap (NFT5-4) and one valve core. JB manufactures these access valves at their factory in Aurora, Illinois, using high-quality brass that consists of sixty-five percent copper and thirty-five percent zinc. This composition provides high tensile strength and resistance to corrosion. Import fittings often use lower quality brass, leading to higher failure rates.
