The JARD-81040 is a 40-amp, 250-volt time delay cartridge fuse designed to protect electrical circuits from overcurrent damage. Its time delay characteristic allows harmless inrush currents -- such as motor start-up surges -- to pass without nuisance blowing, while still opening quickly under sustained fault conditions. Rated at UL Class RK-5, it meets recognized performance standards for interrupt capacity and time delay response. At 3 inches in length, it fits standard cartridge fuse holders used in residential and light commercial electrical panels and disconnect boxes.
