The JACKSON SAFETY V8104406 is a double-leg shock absorbing lanyard built for fall protection in industrial and construction environments. It uses a tear-pack energy absorber that deploys during a fall arrest event, reducing the peak impact force transmitted to the worker. The lanyard extends 6 feet in length and is rated for workers weighing between 130 and 310 pounds. Constructed with 1-inch webbing, it is designed for use with a compatible full-body harness and an overhead anchor point. Installation and inspection are typically performed by a qualified person in accordance with applicable fall protection standards.
This lanyard is suited for construction, maintenance, and general industry applications where workers are exposed to fall hazards at elevation. The double-leg configuration allows the user to maintain continuous 100 percent tie-off when moving between anchor points, a requirement on many worksites. It is appropriate for use on scaffolding, steel erection, roofing, and similar elevated work scenarios where a 6-foot free-fall distance must be controlled.
Designed for use with full-body harnesses and overhead anchor points meeting applicable fall protection requirements. Verify harness and anchor compatibility before each use.
Fall protection equipment must be inspected before each use and installed by a qualified person familiar with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M or applicable regulatory standards. Connect the lanyard only to a certified anchor point capable of supporting the required arrest load. Never connect the lanyard in a configuration that allows a free-fall distance greater than the rated length. Remove the lanyard from service immediately if the shock absorber has deployed or if the webbing shows signs of cuts, fraying, or chemical exposure.
