The JACKSON SAFETY JKSS29411-08E is a confined space welding helmet designed for welding operations in tight, restricted areas where a standard welding helmet cannot be used safely or effectively. Built on the Modified 290 Series platform, this hood features a lift-front bezel design and ships without a filter installed, allowing the technician to select the appropriate shade lens for the task. It includes replaceable top and bottom leather bib protectors that shield the neck and shoulders from spatter and heat. A quick-release ratchet suspension with integrated sweatband keeps the helmet secure and adjustable during extended wear. The unit meets ANSI Z87.1 requirements for eye and face protection.
This helmet is intended for professional welders and pipefitters working in confined spaces such as tanks, vessels, ducts, and tight structural areas where clearance is limited. The lift-front bezel allows the welder to inspect work without fully removing the hood, reducing repositioning time in cramped conditions. The leather bib protectors are field-replaceable, extending the service life of the helmet in high-spatter environments. Gray color is standard. This product ships as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use confined space welding helmet for professional welding applications requiring ANSI Z87.1-compliant head and face protection in restricted work areas.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified welder or safety-trained professional familiar with confined space entry procedures. Before entering a confined space, follow all applicable OSHA confined space entry regulations and ensure the appropriate filter lens shade is installed for the welding process being performed. No filter is included with this helmet; select the correct shade per AWS or applicable welding procedure guidelines. Inspect leather bib protectors and suspension components before each use and replace any worn or damaged parts.
