The JACKSON SAFETY 46410 is an auto-darkening filter (ADF) replacement drop-in designed to convert a passive welding helmet into an auto-darkening unit without replacing the entire hood. The 46410 uses True Color technology to deliver a crystal-clear view of the weld pool, reducing eye strain during extended use. At 1.3 ounces, the ultralight design minimizes added weight to the helmet shell. This ADF is a cost-effective field upgrade installed by welders, fabricators, and welding professionals who want auto-darkening performance from an existing passive helmet.
The 46410 is a universal-fit ADF sized for most 2-inch by 4.25-inch passive welding helmets. It is compatible with JACKSON SAFETY HSL-1, HSL-2, and Huntsman series hoods, as well as many other passive-style welding helmets that accept a standard drop-in ADF format. It is suited for light industrial, fabrication shop, and field welding applications where upgrading to auto-darkening capability is preferred over purchasing a new helmet assembly.
Compatible with JACKSON SAFETY HSL-1, HSL-2, and Huntsman series passive welding helmets, as well as many other passive-style hoods that accept a standard 2-inch by 4.25-inch drop-in ADF.
Installation is performed by the welder or a qualified safety equipment technician. Before installing, remove the helmet from service and ensure the existing lens or passive filter plate is fully removed from the helmet opening. Follow the helmet manufacturer's instructions for securing the ADF drop-in to avoid lens retention issues during use. Verify the ADF is properly seated and the darkening response is functioning before returning the helmet to service.
