The JACKSON SAFETY 46152 NexGen Arc Angel is an auto-darkening filter (ADF) welding helmet designed for professional welders working in MIG, TIG, and stick welding applications. Built around the HSL 100 auto-darkening lens system, it uses four independent sensors to detect arc strikes and shift the lens shade automatically. Two replaceable solar-lithium batteries power the system, extending service life between replacements. The variable shade range runs from 9 to 13, covering light tack welds through high-amperage passes. The amber lens includes both sensitivity and delay adjustment controls, giving the operator fine-tuned control over arc detection and shade transition timing.
This helmet is suited for professional welding environments including fabrication shops, structural work, and maintenance welding. The HLX (Halo-X) headgear system is included. The large viewing window at 3.8 inches x 2.35 inches is positioned to reduce the risk of arc blockage during active welding. The amber lens tint improves contrast and clarity of the weld puddle, which is particularly useful during precision TIG passes or when working with stainless and aluminum base metals.
Designed as an OEM-configuration ADF welding helmet compatible with the JACKSON SAFETY NexGen Arc Angel product line; includes the HLX Halo-X headgear assembly as configured from the factory.
Fitting and adjustment should be performed by the welder prior to beginning any welding task. Power down or remove batteries before servicing the ADF lens cartridge or replacing batteries. Verify shade and sensitivity settings match the welding process and amperage before striking an arc. Helmet use and eye protection requirements may be governed by ANSI Z87.1 and applicable employer safety programs.
