Built around the HSL 100 auto-darkening lens system, it uses four independent sensors to detect arc strikes and shift the lens shade automatically. Two replaceable solar-lithium batteries power the system, extending service life between replacements. The variable shade range runs from 9 to 13, covering light tack welds through high-amperage passes. The amber lens includes both sensitivity and delay adjustment controls, giving the operator fine-tuned control over arc detection and shade transition timing.
