The JACKSON SAFETY 20508 is the HLX100 passive welding helmet, a fixed-shade head protection unit designed for arc welding applications. Built with a Hydraflex polycarbonate shell, it weighs only 6 ounces, reducing neck fatigue during extended use. The helmet ships complete with a cover plate and a shade 10 polycarbonate filter. The 370 Speed Dial headgear system provides easy grip-and-turn fit adjustment. This helmet is intended for use by professional welders, fabricators, and maintenance technicians performing shielded metal arc, MIG, or TIG welding operations.
The HLX100 is suited for light industrial and fabrication shop environments where a passive, fixed-shade lens is preferred over an auto-darkening filter. The helmet is hard hat adaptable using the 187-S adapter, making it compatible with bump cap and hard hat configurations common on industrial job sites. It is also ADF adaptable, accepting Jackson Safety NexGen, TrueSight II, Professional Variable, and Insight auto-darkening filters, allowing the shell to serve as a platform if the user upgrades to variable shade capability later.
Compatible with Jackson Safety NexGen, TrueSight II, Professional Variable, and Insight auto-darkening filters. Hard hat adaptable using the 187-S adapter. Sold as individual units with a minimum order quantity of 2.
Fitting and headgear adjustment should be performed before entering the welding area. Confirm the shade 10 filter and cover plate are fully seated and free of cracks before use. Inspect the shell and lens assembly per employer safety protocols and applicable ANSI Z87.1 requirements prior to each shift. Filter and cover plate replacement should follow the manufacturer service interval or immediately upon visible damage.
