The JACKSON SAFETY 20398 is a front brim hard hat molded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for lightweight impact resistance. The contoured dome profile reduces overhead bulk while a built-in rain trough channels water away from the face. A 4-point ratchet suspension system provides over 30 adjustment levels, fitting head sizes from 6.5 inches to 8 inches. An absorbent brow pad is included for extended wear comfort. This hard hat is rated ANSI Z89.1 Type 1, Class C, G, and E, making it suitable for general construction, utilities, and industrial worksites where overhead impact protection is required.
The 20398 is designed for use across residential and commercial construction, utility work, road crews, and industrial facilities. The shorter bill improves upward sightlines, which is useful for overhead work. The cap-style brim helps reduce glare from sunlight or overhead artificial lighting. A universal accessory slot is built into the shell, allowing compatible attachments such as face shields, hearing protection muffs, or visors to be added without replacing the hat. This product is sold in a minimum quantity of 12 units per order, making it well-suited for crew outfitting and site safety programs.
Designed for use with JACKSON SAFETY-compatible accessories that fit the universal accessory slot, including face shields and hearing protection attachments. Suitable as a standard front brim hard hat for general industrial and construction applications meeting ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 requirements.
Hard hat fitting and inspection should be performed by the wearer prior to each use. Inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, dents, or fraying before deployment. Replace the hard hat after any significant impact or according to the manufacturer service interval. Do not modify the shell or suspension, and do not apply stickers or paints that may mask cracks or degrade the HDPE material.
