The JACKSON SAFETY 14409 Sentry III is a front brim hard hat designed for general industry and construction environments where head protection from falling objects and impact is required. Built from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the shell is lightweight without sacrificing impact resistance. The 6-point ratchet suspension adjusts to fit head sizes ranging from 6.5 inches to 8 inches, providing a secure and stable fit across a wide range of wearers. An integrated brow pad improves comfort during extended wear. This hard hat is installed and fitted by safety-conscious workers, supervisors, and safety managers across residential, commercial, and industrial job sites.
The 14409 is suited for construction, utilities, manufacturing, and any application requiring ANSI-compliant head protection. The full-brim visor provides overhead sunshade and frontal debris shielding. A low-riding nape strap assists with impact absorption and keeps the hat stable during overhead or active work. A universal accessory slot is built into the shell, allowing compatible face shields, hearing protection mounts, and other ANSI-approved accessories to be added without tools. The low-profile silhouette makes it practical in confined or overhead work areas.
Designed for use with ANSI-compatible hard hat accessories including face shields, ear muffs, and sun visors that fit the universal accessory slot. Meets ANSI Z89.1 Type 1, Class C, G, and E standards for use in general industry and construction applications.
Fitting should be performed before each use by adjusting the ratchet suspension to achieve a snug, stable fit without pressure points. Inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, dents, or UV degradation before each use and replace the hat if damage is found. Hard hats subject to a significant impact should be replaced immediately even if no visible damage is present. Follow the manufacturer date stamp and replace per applicable ANSI and site safety program guidelines.
