The JACKSON SAFETY 14303 is a passive welding helmet designed specifically for pipeline applications. Built around a spring-loaded lift front, the helmet gives welders full-face protection during active welding and quick, hands-free access during pre- and post-weld preparation without fully removing the hood. The shell is constructed from Super Tuff nylon, a lightweight yet durable material rated for extreme welding environments. The helmet ships with a Z87.1+ rated high-impact polycarbonate window and a 2 inch x 4.25 inch Shade 10 passive filter lens. A non-slotted adapter is included. Licensed welders and pipeline trade professionals install and use this helmet in field and shop settings.
The 14303 is purpose-built for pipeline welding scenarios where repeated lid raises between passes are a workflow burden. The spring-loaded lift front eliminates that step, keeping the work moving. The Super Tuff nylon shell is engineered to hold up in high-heat, high-spatter environments typical of structural and pipeline work. The patented 370 Speed Dial ratcheting headgear provides tool-free fit adjustment, which matters when wearing additional PPE or changing conditions mid-shift.
Designed as an OEM-style passive welding helmet for pipeline and general welding applications using standard filter plate and cover plate dimensions.
Welders and safety supervisors should verify the lens shade rating meets the requirements of the welding process in use before field deployment. Inspect the lens retention system and shell for cracks or spatter buildup before each shift. Headgear adjustment should be performed with the power off or arc not struck to ensure proper fit prior to beginning work. Follow applicable ANSI Z87.1 and site-specific PPE standards when selecting and fitting the helmet.
