The ITW BUILDEX 560113 is a No. 10 self-drilling screw designed for fast, reliable fastening in metal-to-metal and light-gauge steel applications. The hex washer head with hex drive provides positive torque transfer and a built-in bearing surface that resists pull-through. At 3/4 inches length under head with a No. 3 drill point, this screw penetrates without a pre-drilled pilot hole, streamlining installation on the jobsite. Each package contains 100 screws. Steel construction ensures consistent performance in structural and mechanical assemblies typical in HVAC, electrical, and light construction work.
This screw is suited for attaching light-gauge steel framing, ductwork, electrical enclosures, and mechanical panels where a No. 10-16 thread form is specified. The No. 3 drill point is rated for thicker base materials compared to lower-point-number variants, making it appropriate for heavier sheet stock. Installers working in HVAC duct fabrication, metal stud framing, and equipment mounting will find this size and point combination commonly specified. Sold in a 100-piece package to support production and service work equally.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use self-drilling screw for No. 10-16 thread applications in light-gauge steel assemblies across HVAC, electrical, and light construction trades.
Self-drilling screws should be installed with a hex-drive bit and a variable-speed drill or screw gun set to an appropriate clutch torque to avoid stripping the head or overdriving into thin material. Power down any live electrical panels or energized equipment before fastening into enclosures. Follow applicable codes including SMACNA standards for duct fabrication and local mechanical codes for equipment mounting. Do not reuse self-drilling screws once removed, as the drill point and thread form may be compromised.
