The ITM vg-4002 is a V-groove drill bit designed for drilling clean, precise holes in hard tile and stone surfaces. Built with a carbide tip and a dual flute design, this bit cuts through porcelain, ceramic, marble, and granite without chipping or cracking the material. The 3/16-inch diameter and 4-inch overall length make it suited for standard tile anchor and fastener work. Tile installation professionals, stone fabricators, and experienced DIYers use this bit where standard twist drills would fail on hard glazed surfaces.
The vg-4002 is applied in residential and light commercial tile work where drilling into finished porcelain or natural stone is required. Common applications include setting anchors, mounting hardware, and running conduit or plumbing penetrations through tiled walls and floors. The V-groove geometry centers the bit on the tile surface and reduces the skating that occurs with standard drill bits on glazed material.
Designed for use with porcelain, ceramic, marble, and granite tile and stone materials in standard drill chuck applications.
This bit is installed and used by tile setters, stone fabricators, and general contractors working on hard surface applications. Use with a variable-speed drill and apply consistent, moderate pressure to avoid overheating the carbide tip. Keep the bit and work surface cool by applying water or using a water-feed drilling attachment when working on dense natural stone. Avoid forcing the bit at high speed without cooling, as carbide tips are susceptible to heat damage on extended cuts.
