The ITM evl12316 is an SDS Plus rotary hammer drill bit designed for use in SDS Plus rotary hammer tools. With a 3/16-inch diameter and an overall length of 12.5 inches, this bit handles masonry drilling tasks where extended reach is required. It is suited for drilling into concrete, block, brick, and similar masonry substrates. Licensed tradespeople including electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors reach for SDS Plus bits when core work, anchor holes, or penetrations through masonry walls and slabs are part of the job.
This drill bit fits the common SDS Plus chuck interface found on most mid-range and professional-grade rotary hammers. The 12.5-inch working length allows drilling through thick masonry sections or achieving extended depth without requiring an extension. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where a 3/16-inch bore is called for, such as setting smaller wedge anchors, driving pilot holes, or routing conduit or pipe penetrations through masonry.
Designed as a direct-fit accessory for rotary hammer tools equipped with an SDS Plus chuck interface.
SDS Plus drill bits are installed and removed by a licensed tradesperson or qualified technician using the tool's built-in bit-retention mechanism — no additional tools are required for bit changes. Before inserting or removing the bit, ensure the rotary hammer is powered off and unplugged or its battery is removed. When drilling into structural or load-bearing masonry, verify that no embedded conduit, rebar, or utilities are present in the drill path. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection when operating rotary hammer equipment.
