The ISCAR 7006042 is a countersunk-head cap screw designed to secure indexable inserts in milling toolholders. Featuring a T9 Torx drive and M3 x 0.5 thread, this screw provides the precise clamping force needed to hold cutting inserts firmly during milling operations. At 0.319 inches (8.10 mm) overall length, it fits flush within the toolholder pocket to avoid interference with the cut. Manufactured for the ISCAR Helido series, it is the correct hardware fastener for FF EWX-05 style toolholders. Installation requires the T-9/51 key driver. This hardware is typically sourced and replaced by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians during insert changes or toolholder maintenance.
This cap screw is used in indexable milling applications where insert retention hardware must meet tight dimensional tolerances. The countersunk head profile keeps the fastener seated below or flush with the toolholder face, preventing chip interference and maintaining repeatable insert seating. It is appropriate for use in production machining environments, job shops, and toolroom settings running Helido-series FF EWX-05 milling toolholders. Compatible inserts include the H600 WXCU 05T312HP and H600 WXCU 05T312T.
Designed for use with ISCAR FF EWX-05 toolholders in the Helido milling series. Compatible inserts include H600 WXCU 05T312HP and H600 WXCU 05T312T. Requires T-9/51 key driver for installation.
Installation and replacement of indexable insert screws should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before servicing any toolholder or insert hardware. Use only the specified T-9/51 Torx key driver to seat this screw — substituting incorrect drivers can damage the Torx recess and compromise insert clamping. Do not overtighten; follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidelines for M3 insert screws.
