The ISCAR 7000501 is a countersunk-head cap screw designed to secure indexable inserts in compatible toolholders used in CNC and manual machining operations. Built for the Heliball series, this screw uses a T8 Torx drive and an M2.5 x 0.45 thread to deliver consistent clamping force on ball nose end mill inserts. At 0.2165 inches (5.50 mm) in overall length, it is a compact, precision fastener intended for high-frequency replacement alongside insert changes. Machinists and toolroom technicians working with ISCAR Heliball tooling will replace this screw as part of routine insert maintenance to maintain secure, repeatable insert seating.
This cap screw is intended for use with the CM D10 toolholder in ball nose end mill applications. It is compatible with CR D100-MT inserts and requires the T-8/53 key driver for installation and removal. Typical use is in production machining environments where Heliball series tooling is employed for finishing or semi-finishing operations on curved or complex surfaces. The screw is sold in a package quantity of one with a minimum order quantity of five units, making it practical to keep replacement hardware on hand at the machine.
Designed for use with the ISCAR CM D10 toolholder and CR D100-MT inserts in the Heliball series ball nose end mill platform. Requires the T-8/53 key driver.
Installation and replacement of indexable insert screws should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts or hardware. Use only the specified T-8/53 Torx key driver to seat and torque the screw — using an incorrect driver risks stripping the Torx socket or under-torquing the insert. Inspect the screw threads and the toolholder bore for contamination or damage before reinstalling; replace the screw at any sign of thread deformation or head wear.
