The ISCAR 6402350 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal diameter machining on CNC lathes and turning centers. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.1969 inches (5.00 mm) and a maximum bore depth of 0.551 inches, it is built for tight-tolerance work in small-bore applications. The bar measures 1.1811 inches overall length with a 5.00 mm shank diameter. A TiCN and TiN finish coating and ISCAR grade IC228 carbide substrate combine to support consistent tool life in steel, stainless, and alloy materials. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 6402350 is suited for right-hand internal boring operations where small bore entry is required. Its compact geometry makes it appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes in small-diameter bores on turned components. The solid carbide construction provides the rigidity needed to minimize deflection at these bore sizes, making it a practical choice for close-tolerance work in high-mix or production turning setups.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide boring bar for small-bore internal turning applications on CNC lathes and turning centers accepting a 5.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state. Verify that the shank diameter and bore entry clearance are confirmed before mounting. Follow the machine tool builder guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and running trial passes. Avoid exceeding the recommended maximum bore depth to prevent tool deflection or breakage.
