The ISCAR 6200458 is a solid carbide grooving insert in the Heli-Grip series, designed for external and face grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the GRIP5005Y insert style with a 5 mm cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 3 mm. The IC807 grade substrate is submicron carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN and Titanium Nitride finish, providing wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of workpiece materials. The neutral hand orientation suits standard straight-in grooving. A double-ended configuration extends usable insert life.
