The ISCAR 6096839 is a solid carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and slitting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Part of the Tang-Grip series, this single-end insert features a 3.05 mm (0.1200 inch) cutting width and a neutral lead angle, making it suitable for straight plunge cutoff work. The IC5400 grade combines a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN over a carbide substrate, providing wear resistance and thermal stability during interrupted and continuous cuts. A 0.20 mm corner radius and a 7-degree relief angle support clean chip formation and edge durability at production feed rates.
