The ISCAR 6095707 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert designed for precision grooving and cutoff operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Carrying manufacturer grade IC908 with a PVD coating, it delivers consistent performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert features a 2.2 mm cutting width, a 15-degree right-hand lead angle, and a 7-degree relief angle, making it well suited for controlled chip evacuation during parting. The JS chipbreaker geometry supports stable cutting in both light and moderate feeds. Double-ended design extends usable insert life before indexing is required.
This insert belongs to the Do-Grip series and is intended for use in compatible ISCAR Do-Grip toolholders. It is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, covering ISO material groups H, K, M, P, and S — which correspond to hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. Typical applications include parting and deep grooving on production turning equipment in both job shop and high-volume manufacturing environments. The insert supports maximum depth of cut up to 0.709 inches (18 mm).
Designed for use in ISCAR Do-Grip series clamping toolholders that accept DGR-style inserts with a 2200 size code. Compatible with ISO material groups H, K, M, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer. Material grades C1, C2, C6, and C7 are supported per manufacturer documentation.
Installation is performed by machining technicians using the appropriate ISCAR Do-Grip clamping toolholder. Confirm the toolholder is fully disengaged from machine spindle power before seating or removing the insert. Use a clean, undamaged pocket seat to ensure proper insert engagement and clamping force. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque guidelines for the clamping screw and refer to ISCAR toolholder documentation for correct insert orientation.
