The ISCAR 6094125 is a single-ended carbide cutoff and grooving insert designed for use in Self-Grip style toolholders. It carries the GTN3 insert style designation with a size code of 3 and is manufactured to the IC328 grade, a PVD-coated carbide formulation suited for grooving and parting operations. The cutting width measures 3.1 mm (0.122 inches), with a neutral lead angle, a 0-degree lead angle, and a 7-degree relief angle. The corner radius is 0.20 mm (0.0079 inches). This insert is held by a clamp mechanism and is compatible with material grades C2, C3, C5, and C6, covering a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
This insert is intended for grooving and parting applications on CNC lathes and turning centers in both production shop and job shop environments. The Self-Grip series is a widely used tooling platform in metalworking operations where secure insert clamping and precise groove geometry are critical.
