The ISCAR 6011436 is a solid carbide cutoff and parting insert designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the TAGR4C4D designation and belongs to ISCAR's Tang-Grip series, which uses a clamping hold method for secure, repeatable seating. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide with an IC830 PVD-coated grade, making it well-suited for cutting superalloys and other difficult-to-machine materials. The cutting width measures 4.05 mm (0.1594 inches), with a 4-degree lead angle oriented for right-hand cutting. A 0.24 mm corner radius and 7-degree relief angle complete the geometry. This is a single-end insert sold individually.
This insert is intended for parting and grooving applications where superalloys, stainless, and similar high-strength workpiece materials are involved. The IC830 PVD coating provides wear resistance and thermal stability under demanding cutting conditions. The Tang-Grip clamping system suits automated, high-production turning environments where insert change-out speed and positional repeatability matter. Licensed machinists and CNC tool setters working in aerospace, energy, and precision manufacturing are the typical end users. This insert is sold in minimum order quantities of 10 units.
Designed for use with ISCAR Tang-Grip series parting and grooving toolholders that accept TAG-style inserts in size code 4. Confirm toolholder seat compatibility before ordering.
Insert installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine in a safe, de-energized, and locked-out state. Use the appropriate ISCAR Tang-Grip clamping key or wrench when seating or releasing the insert; do not force the insert by hand. Inspect the toolholder pocket for wear or debris before each insert change to ensure full seating and accurate cutting width. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for clamping torque and insert indexing procedures.
