The ISCAR 6011410 is a Tang-Grip series single-end carbide cutoff and parting insert designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the ISCAR IC830 PVD-coated carbide grade, engineered primarily for cutting superalloys and difficult-to-machine materials. The insert features a 4.05 mm cutting width (0.1594 inches), a 4-degree left-hand lead angle, a 7-degree relief angle, and a 0.24 mm corner radius. The C chipbreaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation during deep parting cuts. Installation requires a compatible Tang-Grip clamp-style toolholder. This insert is specified by machinists and turning specialists working in aerospace, oil and gas, and high-performance manufacturing environments.
The ISCAR 6011410 is suited for parting and cutoff applications on superalloys, stainless steels, and general ISO M and S workpiece material groups. It fits into Tang-Grip clamp-style insert pockets sized for the TAG4 insert family. Typical use cases include production parting on CNC turning centers where consistent chip control and tool life on tough materials are priorities. The left-hand lead angle orientation must be matched to the correct toolholder hand to achieve proper cutting geometry and chip direction.
Designed for use with ISCAR Tang-Grip clamp-style toolholders accepting TAG4 insert size inserts. Confirm toolholder hand orientation matches the left-hand lead angle of this insert before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the insert. Seat the insert fully into the Tang-Grip pocket and verify the clamp is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specification before initiating a cut. Do not use this insert in a toolholder rated for a different insert size code or hand orientation, as improper fit compromises edge integrity and workpiece finish.
