The ISCAR 6011375 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert from the Do-Grip series, designed for precision parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the DGN 2202C insert designation and is manufactured to ISO 13399 standards. The IC830 grade features a PVD coating for improved wear resistance and edge retention when cutting superalloys and a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 2.2 mm cutting width, a 0-degree lead angle, and a 7-degree relief angle, this insert delivers clean, consistent cuts in demanding production environments. Machinists and tooling specialists working in aerospace, energy, and precision manufacturing will find this insert well suited for tight-tolerance grooving and full parting applications.
This insert is intended for grooving and parting operations on turning equipment where superalloys, steels, and similar materials are the primary workpiece. The double-ended design extends usable tool life by providing two cutting edges per insert. The C chipbreaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation, reducing the risk of chip packing in deep grooves. It fits Do-Grip style insert seats of seat size 2 and accommodates a maximum depth of cut of 18.00 mm (0.7087 inches), making it capable of handling both shallow groove work and full part-off cuts on bar stock.
Designed for use with Do-Grip series grooving and parting toolholders accepting a size 2 insert seat. Suitable for grooving and parting of superalloys (ISO material code S), steels (P), and stainless or other M-group materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using the appropriate Do-Grip clamping toolholder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is in a safe indexed position before seating or changing the insert. Use the correct clamp torque specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not over-tighten, as this can fracture the carbide body. Confirm insert seating is flush and secure before resuming cutting operations.
