The ISCAR 6003292 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert designed for precision parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the DGNM3202C geometry with a manufacturer grade of IC328, a PVD-applied TiN/TiCN coating engineered for wear resistance and thermal stability. The insert features a 0.125 inch (3.18 mm) cutting width and a 0.008 inch (0.20 mm) corner radius. The neutral lead angle and neutral hand orientation make it suitable for straight-in plunge cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as part of the Do-Grip clamping system.
This insert is intended for grooving and parting applications with a primary focus on superalloy workpiece materials, also rated for steel and stainless workpiece groups under ISO material codes M, P, and S. It fits standard Do-Grip toolholders that accept the DGNM insert style and 3202 size code. Typical use cases include external grooving, cutoff on bar stock, and shallow profile grooving on turning centers in both production shop and job shop environments. The C chipbreaker geometry supports chip control across a range of feed and depth-of-cut conditions common in superalloy machining.
Designed for use with Do-Grip series toolholders that accept the DGNM insert style in the 3202 size code. Rated for ISO material groups M (stainless steel), P (steel), and S (superalloys). Material grades C2, C3, C5, and C6 apply per standard carbide classification.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamp screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the insert securely — do not overtighten by hand estimation. Confirm insert seating and edge condition visually before resuming cutting operations.
