The ISCAR 6003041 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert designed for precision parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Part of the Do-Grip series, this single-end insert features a 2.21 mm (0.0870 inch) cutting width, a neutral lead angle, and a neutral hand orientation. The IC1028 grade combines a PVD-applied TiN and TiAlN coating over a solid carbide substrate, delivering wear resistance and edge stability on demanding workpiece materials. A 0.20 mm corner radius and 7-degree relief angle contribute to clean, controlled cuts at the parting line.

This insert is suited for grooving and parting applications in production turning environments, including both job shop and high-volume machining operations. The J chipbreaker geometry is optimized for chip control on stainless steel and steel workpieces, which are the primary rated materials for this grade. The self-grip holding method allows the insert to seat securely in compatible Do-Grip toolholders without additional clamping hardware.
