The ISCAR 6003032 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert from the Do-Grip series, designed for precise parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert carries the DGN 6303C geometry with a manufacturer grade of IC908 and a PVD-applied TiN/TiAlN dual-layer coating that supports extended tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. The cutting width measures 0.25 inches (6.35 mm), the overall length is 0.752 inches (19.10 mm), and the corner radius is 0.014 inches (0.36 mm). Self-grip holding keeps the insert secure in compatible Do-Grip toolholders without additional clamping hardware. The neutral lead angle and neutral hand make this insert suitable for straight-in parting and symmetrical groove profiles.
This insert is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, covering ISO material groups H, K, M, P, and S. That range includes carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, cast irons, hardened materials, and superalloys. It is a single-end insert intended for production-volume grooving and cutoff applications in both high-mix job shop environments and dedicated turning cells. The C chipbreaker geometry is suited to controlled-chip applications where chip evacuation in a groove is a priority. This insert is sold individually and is subject to a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
Designed for use with ISCAR Do-Grip series toolholders that accept the DGN 6303C insert style and size code. Verify toolholder seat dimensions and grip style before installation.
Carbide grooving and parting inserts are installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the insert. The self-grip design requires proper toolholder condition — inspect the grip pocket for wear or debris before seating. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended depth-of-cut or feed rate for this insert size.
