The IC354 grade features a PVD coating optimized for cutting stainless steel and carbon steel. A 0.14 mm corner radius (0.0055 inch) controls chip formation at the cutting edge, and the J chipbreaker geometry manages chip curl in interrupted and continuous cuts alike.

This insert is suited for grooving and parting applications in both production and job-shop environments. Primary workpiece materials include stainless steel and general carbon and alloy steels, corresponding to ISO material codes M and P.
