The ISCAR 6002475 is a solid carbide milling insert in the GSFN 3.2 style, designed for grooving and parting operations on CNC milling platforms. It carries the IC328 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiCN coating, delivering a hard, wear-resistant edge suited to interrupted cuts and demanding surface conditions. The insert features a neutral hand orientation, a positive rake geometry, and a honed cutting edge style for controlled chip formation. With a 0.126-inch inscribed circle and a single cutting edge, this is a precision consumable installed by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces, covering ISO material codes P, M, and S. It is compatible with the SGSF cutter series in ISCAR's Self Grip system, making it a direct fit for existing Self Grip toolholders already set up for grooving work. Typical applications include slot milling, face grooving, and shallow profiling passes where a rigid, narrow insert with consistent edge geometry is required. The single-sided design and self-grip holding method ensure repeatable seating across indexing cycles.
Designed for use with ISCAR SGSF cutter series toolholders. Compatible with the Self Grip insert holding system. Suitable for ISO material grades C2, C3, C5, and C6 cutting applications.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate ISCAR Self Grip clamping key or torx driver specified for the SGSF toolholder series. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert. Do not use damaged or chipped inserts, as edge failure under load can cause workpiece damage or toolholder wear.
