The ISCAR 5697518 is a chamfer-style replaceable milling tip from the Multimaster MM EDF series, designed for use in modular end mill systems. Built from sub-micrograin carbide and coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, this tip carries the IC908 manufacturer grade and delivers dependable performance in demanding interrupted and continuous milling operations. It features a 0.457-inch cutting diameter, a 90-degree lead angle, and a functional length of 0.650 inches. With 3 flutes and a right-hand cut orientation, it is suited for high-efficiency material removal across a broad range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers and users of this tip.
This tip is used in precision milling applications across job shop, aerospace, die-mold, and general metalworking environments. Its workpiece material compatibility covers steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, making it a versatile choice for multi-material production runs. The MM EDF series uses a threaded clamping interface for fast tip changes without removing the tool body from the spindle, reducing downtime during changeovers.
Designed for use with ISCAR Multimaster MM EDF series modular tool bodies that accept the 116-090-95 insert size interface. Suitable for machining steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), non-ferrous metal (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hard materials (H) per ISO workpiece material codes.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians familiar with modular milling systems. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before tip removal or installation. Use the appropriate ISCAR Multimaster torque key to seat the tip to the tool body; do not use substitute tools that could damage the threaded interface. Inspect the tool body seat for chips or debris before threading in the replacement tip.
