The ISCAR 5693865 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ADKT 150532R geometry and IC528 manufacturer grade. It is a single-sided, parallelogram-shaped insert designed for use in milling operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The PVD-applied TiCN and TiN coating combination delivers wear resistance suited to demanding cutting conditions. With a positive rake angle, a honed cutting edge, and two cutting edges per insert, the 5693865 is a right-hand insert held in place by a screw-locking method. It fits within the HELIMILL series cutter platform and is targeted at machinists and tooling professionals working in production or precision milling environments.
This insert is intended for milling steel and stainless steel in both production and job-shop environments. Material grade classifications are C5 and C6, corresponding to ISO material codes P and M. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.472 inches and a cutting edge effective length of 0.539 inches, it handles moderate to aggressive radial and axial engagement. Compatible cutter series include ETS, FTS, ADK, and E90, making it applicable across a range of ISCAR toolholder platforms where ADKT-style inserts are specified.
Designed for use with ISCAR HELIMILL series cutter bodies compatible with ADKT-style inserts, including cutter series ETS, FTS, ADK, and E90. Confirm cutter body pocket geometry and insert size code 150532 before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle powered down and the machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state. Use the correct Torx or hex key specified for the cutter body screw to seat the insert without over-torquing the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert. Never use a damaged or chipped insert, as it can cause unpredictable tool failure during a cut.
