The ISCAR 5668599 is a carbide face mill replaceable milling tip in the MM FM series, designed for high-productivity face milling operations on CNC machining centers. This right-hand tip carries a 0.787-inch cutting diameter, six cutting flutes, and a 90-degree lead angle with a 0.016-inch corner radius for controlled chip formation and surface finish. The IC908 submicrograin carbide grade features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating for heat resistance and edge stability at elevated cutting speeds. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments install this tip as a direct replaceable insert into compatible MM FM toolholders.
This milling tip is suited for face milling applications across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries ISO material group codes P, M, K, N, S, and H, making it a versatile option for mixed-material production floors. The 0.236-inch maximum depth of cut and 0.268-inch functional length are appropriate for light to moderate face milling passes where surface finish and tool life consistency are priorities. It conforms to ANSI standards.
Designed for use with MM FM series toolholders accepting the 200-60R0.4 insert size. Full milling tip designation is MM FM200-60R0.4-06T08. Verify holder compatibility with the MM FM toolholder documentation before ordering.
Installation is performed by CNC machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with indexable milling systems. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing any replaceable milling tip. Use the manufacturer-specified torque wrench and clamping screw for the MM FM holder to avoid tip movement or seat damage during cutting. Inspect the pocket and seating surface for chips or wear before installing a new tip.
