The ISCAR 5666933 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-feed face milling operations in demanding metal removal applications. Carrying the ANSI designation H600 WXCU 070515HP IC830, this double-sided trigon-style insert features six cutting edges and an IC830-grade substrate with AlTiN plus TiN PVD coating for extended tool life in abrasive and heat-intensive cuts. The 0.2320-inch thickness and 0.4386-inch inscribed circle place it in the standard 07-size class. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units and is intended for installation by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running milling machines in production or job-shop environments.
This insert fits the HELI6FEED series and is compatible with FWX and EWX cutter bodies. Primary workpiece material applications include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, covering material codes P, M, and S. The HP chip breaker geometry and sharp cutting edge style are suited for high-feed, low-axial-depth strategies commonly used in roughing and semi-finishing passes on difficult-to-machine alloys in aerospace, energy, and general metalworking production runs.
Designed for use in ISCAR HELI6FEED series cutter bodies with FWX and EWX designations. Insert size code 070515 corresponds to the 07-size class with a 0.4386-inch inscribed circle. Conforms to ANSI and ISO 13399 standards.
Installation is performed by machinists using the appropriate Torx or hex key for the cutter body screw pocket - refer to the cutter body documentation for fastener size and seating procedure. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully into the pocket before tightening the clamping screw; a partially seated insert will deflect and fail prematurely. Inspect the pocket for chips or debris before each insert change.
