The ISCAR 5651130 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking applications. It features a 2.5 mm cutting diameter with a 5 mm length of cut and a 38-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The tool carries a TiAlN coating and is manufactured to ISCAR material grade IC900, making it well-suited for demanding cuts in a range of workpiece materials. At 36 mm overall length with a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this stub-length end mill fits standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
This end mill is appropriate for use in small-diameter milling operations on ferrous metals, cast irons, stainless steels, general steels, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, P, and S. The stub-length geometry provides rigidity that reduces deflection when machining slots, pockets, and contours. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction, making it compatible with standard right-hand spindle setups. The 3-flute configuration balances chip clearance with tool strength at this diameter.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for workpiece materials classified under ISCAR material codes H, K, M, P, and S, covering cast irons, stainless steels, general steels, and high-temperature alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholder setup procedures. Confirm the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout at the cutting end after clamping and before initiating the cut. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate selection appropriate to this diameter and workpiece material.
