The ISCAR 5650527 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. With a 9.7 mm cutting diameter and a 3-flute spiral configuration, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a clean finish in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The 30-degree right-hand helix promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. A Weldon flat shank provides positive drive and minimizes pullout during aggressive passes. This tool is suited for machinists and tool-and-die shops running CNC or manual milling operations where tight tolerances on non-ferrous workpieces are required.
This end mill is built for stub-length applications where rigidity and reduced deflection matter more than reach. The 11 mm length of cut and 48 mm overall length keep the tool stiff in the spindle, making it a practical choice for face milling, slotting, and profiling operations in non-ferrous materials. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The bright uncoated finish is well matched to non-ferrous machining where coating adhesion to the workpiece is a concern.
Designed as a stub-length square end mill for use in standard Weldon flat end mill holders sized for a 10 mm shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills capable of accepting a 10 mm Weldon flat shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the tool holder manufacturer's clamping torque guidelines. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are fully de-energized and the machine is in a safe-stop state before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat fully against the setscrew in the holder to prevent axial pullout under load. Inspect the shank and collet or holder bore for chips or damage before securing the tool.
