The ISCAR 5623114 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. It features a 0.4380 inch mill diameter with a 0.4375 inch straight shank, a 0.75 inch length of cut, and a 2.75 inch overall length. The tool runs four spiral flutes with a 38-degree helix angle and a right-hand cut direction. An AlTiN coating in the IC900 material grade provides thermal resistance and wear protection suited to hard, abrasive, and heat-resistant workpiece materials. This is a single-end, regular-length end mill intended for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is built for cutting hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, and high-temperature alloys. The ECI-E-4 series geometry and AlTiN coating make it well-suited to high-speed dry or semi-dry milling operations where heat generation is a concern. Typical applications include peripheral milling, slotting, and profiling in production shop and job-shop environments where tool life in difficult materials is a priority. It is not centercutting and is not designed for plunge entry.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders and ER collet chucks accepting a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) straight shank. Suitable for machining hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, steel, and high-temperature alloys per primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility safety procedures. Seat the shank fully in the holder and torque the collet nut or set screw to the holder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Review feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for the specific workpiece material and machine before engaging the cut.
