The ISCAR 5623098 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1-inch cutting diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a 0.05-inch corner radius that helps reduce stress concentration at the cutting edge and extend tool life. The end mill carries an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, which supports elevated heat resistance during dry or semi-dry cutting. With 4 flutes, a variable helix, and a variable index design, this tool is engineered to suppress chatter and improve surface finish across both roughing and finishing passes. It is intended for use in CNC machining centers by skilled machinists and tooling professionals.
This end mill is built for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It fits typical production and job-shop environments where stable, high-feed milling of difficult workpiece materials is required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving operators flexibility in toolpath strategy. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive retention in compatible toolholders. It belongs to the ISCAR ECI-H4R-CF series, which is specifically developed for chatter-free performance on difficult-to-machine alloys.
Part of the ISCAR ECI-H4R-CF series. Designed for use with standard Weldon flat toolholders. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a clean, properly sized Weldon flat toolholder before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator after setup, as excessive runout will accelerate flute wear and degrade surface finish. Follow the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the specific workpiece material and machine configuration.
