The ISCAR 5623086 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 5/8-inch cutting diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and four flutes with a variable helix and variable index geometry. The AlTiN (TiAlN) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting temperatures. The overall length is 4 inches, with a 1-1/4-inch length of cut and a 5/8-inch Weldon flat shank. This is a center-cutting, single-end tool ground from submicron carbide grade, suited for both roughing and finishing passes. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is part of the ISCAR ECI-H4R-CF Chatter Free series, which is engineered to reduce vibration in long-reach and deep-pocket applications. It is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting geometry make it compatible with standard vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. The short flute length classification and Weldon flat shank suit it for rigid, high-torque toolholder setups where pullout resistance is critical.
Designed for use with standard Weldon flat toolholders. Rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per ISCAR material codes P, M, K, S, and H. Part of the ISCAR ECI-H4R-CF Chatter Free series.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the toolholder before tightening the set screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before first use, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear and reduces surface finish quality. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; use external coolant or air blast as appropriate for the workpiece material.
