Product Description

The ISCAR 5623051 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip designed for the Multimaster and ChatterFree (MM EA-CF) modular tooling system. Manufactured from sub-micrograin carbide in the IC08 grade with a bright, uncoated finish, this tip delivers a 12 mm cutting diameter and a maximum depth of cut of 12 mm. It features 3 flutes with a 40-degree helix angle and a 0.2 mm corner radius, configuration that supports aggressive material removal while reducing chatter in interrupted and continuous cuts. A licensed machinist or CNC programmer typically selects and installs this tip in production turning and milling environments.

This milling tip is suited for roughing operations across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 90-degree lead angle and ChatterFree geometry make it applicable in ISO material groups P, M, K, N, S, and H. With a functional length of 0.9062 inches and an extension from holder of 23 mm, it fits standard MM EA-CF Multimaster holders used in milling centers and machining cells running high-mix or production work.

Key Features

  • Sub-micrograin carbide construction in manufacturer grade IC08 for wear resistance in demanding materials
  • 3-flute ChatterFree geometry with 40-degree helix angle reduces vibration during roughing
  • 12 mm cutting diameter and 12 mm maximum depth of cut in a compact replaceable-tip format
  • 0.2 mm corner radius limits edge stress at the tip during entry and exit moves
  • Right-hand cut, 90-degree lead angle, bright uncoated finish — no regrinding required
  • Compatible with multiple ISO workpiece material groups: P, M, K, N, S, and H

Compatibility

Designed for use with ISCAR Multimaster MM EA-CF modular milling holders. The insert size designation is 120H12R0.2 and the full tip description is MM EA120H12R0.2CF-3T08. Verify holder thread and shank diameter before ordering. Minimum order quantity is 2 units; each package contains 1 tip.

Installation Notes

Replaceable milling tips in modular tooling systems must be installed with the machine fully stopped and the spindle locked before tip removal or installation. Use the correct ISCAR torque key for the Multimaster interface — do not use standard hex wrenches, as improper torque will compromise the coupling integrity and runout tolerance. Inspect the holder nose and mating threads for debris or damage each time the tip is replaced. Consult the machine tool builder guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when changing tooling at the spindle.
