The ISCAR 5622972 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 4 mm cutting diameter, a 10 mm length of cut, and a 0.2 mm corner radius that produces a controlled blend between the flank and floor of a milled pocket. The three-flute, variable helix geometry in the ECA-H3-CF Series is engineered to reduce chatter during both roughing and finishing operations. The uncoated, fine-grain carbide construction is optimized for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials where coating buildup can be a concern.
This end mill fits standard straight-shank toolholders with a 6 mm shank diameter and is suited for CNC machining centers and milling machines running non-ferrous workpieces. The extended reach design, with a 16 mm reach length and 57 mm overall length, allows access to deeper features without requiring a longer-reach holder. The single-end, right-hand cut configuration makes it a direct drop-in for standard right-hand spindle setups used in production and job-shop environments. Machinists and CNC operators performing contour milling, pocket finishing, and 3D profiling in aluminum or similar materials will find this tool well suited to their work.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank cylindrical toolholders accepting a 6 mm shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials as indicated by primary workpiece material code N. Part of the ISCAR ECA-H3-CF series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a collet or end mill holder to the depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, ensuring proper runout before initiating a cut. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand before engaging the tool. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut.
