The ISCAR 5622959 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.12 inch corner radius, and three helical flutes with a variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. Part of the ECAI-H3-CF Series, this single-end tool carries a bright, uncoated finish suited to non-ferrous metal applications. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators running production or job-shop work where surface finish and tool life on aluminum, brass, and similar materials are a priority.
This end mill is intended for use in non-ferrous metal machining environments, including aluminum alloys, copper, and brass. The variable helix design and coarse pitch make it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where chatter suppression matters. The extended reach configuration, with a 2.25 inch reach length and 1.2 inch length of cut, accommodates deeper pockets and stepped-wall features without requiring a longer overall assembly. It mounts in a standard straight-bore toolholder accepting a 3/4 inch shank.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials as indicated by primary material code N in the ECAI-H3-CF Series specification.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Mount the shank to the full recommended grip depth in the toolholder and torque the retention system per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and defeats the chatter-free geometry of this tool.
