The ISCAR 5622938 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for both roughing and finishing operations on non-ferrous metals. It features a 0.5 inch diameter with a 0.06 inch corner radius and three helical flutes in a variable helix configuration, which reduces harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts. The 3/4 inch length of cut and 4.5 inch overall length suit a wide range of milling applications in production and job-shop environments. The uncoated, fine-grain carbide construction delivers consistent edge integrity on aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians using a compatible straight-shank toolholder.
This end mill belongs to the ISCAR ECAI-H3-CF Chatter Free series, developed specifically for non-ferrous metal machining where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical. The 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits standard ER collet chucks and precision milling toolholders. The extended reach of 2.5 inches and 1.56 inch length of cut measured to four decimal places support deep-pocket and contour milling operations on CNC machining centers. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool suitable for plunge entry and full-slot milling in aluminum and other N-class workpiece materials.
Designed for use with straight-shank toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch cylindrical shank. Intended for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills performing roughing and finishing operations on non-ferrous metals classified under primary workpiece material code N. Part of the ISCAR ECAI-H3-CF Chatter Free series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the shank fully into the toolholder collet or chuck to the recommended gauge-line depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling. Never use this end mill on ferrous materials; the uncoated fine-grain carbide and geometry are optimized for non-ferrous applications only.
