The ISCAR 5622927 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for both roughing and finishing operations on non-ferrous metals. It features a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The variable helix geometry, part of the ECAI-H3-CF Chatter Free series, disrupts harmonic vibration during aggressive material removal. With three flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, this single-end tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and consistent surface finish. It is installed using a straight-cylindrical shank compatible with standard toolholders.
This end mill is intended for machining non-ferrous metals including aluminum alloys, copper, and similar materials where clean finishes and tight tolerances are required. The extended reach design, with a 3-1/8 inch reach length and 5 inch overall length, suits pocketing, profiling, and slotting applications where clearance from the toolholder is needed. The coarse pitch and variable helix combination makes it well-suited for high-speed machining setups in CNC milling environments. A fine grain carbide substrate supports edge integrity during continuous cutting passes.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 5/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Mill diameter and shank diameter are both held to h6 tolerance for accurate toolholder fit.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Verify shank seating depth and runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials outside the rated primary workpiece material designation.
