The ISCAR 5622923 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for both roughing and finishing operations in non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch) mill diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, a 3-flute variable helix geometry, and a short-length configuration with a 0.9449 inch length of cut. The variable helix reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, improving surface finish and tool life. The uncoated, bright finish and fine-grain carbide grade are optimized for aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. This end mill is single-end, center-cutting, and uses a straight-cylindrical shank for direct mounting in standard toolholders.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills handling non-ferrous metal stock. The extended reach design, with a 1.25 inch reach length and 2.5 inch overall length, allows access to deeper features while maintaining rigidity. The coarse pitch and variable helix work together to clear chips efficiently in gummy non-ferrous alloys. It is part of the ISCAR ECAI-H3-CF series, which targets high-efficiency milling in aluminum and similar materials. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace component shops, and general metalworking environments will find this end mill well-suited to profiling, slotting, and contouring applications.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch cylindrical shank. Intended for machining non-ferrous metals including aluminum, copper, and brass. Part of the ISCAR ECAI-H3-CF series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and confirm shank seating depth meets shop runout specifications before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the recommended length of cut when programming axial depth of cut, as overloading the flute length can cause tool deflection or breakage.
