The ISCAR 5622922 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. It features a 1-inch cutting diameter, a 1.5-inch length of cut, and a 0.02-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool nose and extends edge life. The variable helix geometry suppresses chatter during aggressive cuts, making it well-suited for dynamic milling toolpaths. With a 5-inch overall length and a 3-inch reach length, this single-end tool provides extended access into deep pockets and stepped features. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling specialists working in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is intended for use on non-ferrous metals, consistent with its N-class workpiece material designation and fine-grain carbide substrate. The uncoated bright finish is appropriate for applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern, such as aluminum and other non-ferrous alloys. The coarse pitch and helical flute geometry promote chip evacuation in high-chip-load operations. It mounts in a standard straight-bore toolholder accepting a 1-inch shank diameter and is part of the ECAI-H3-CF Chatter Free series, which is optimized for stable, high-feed cutting strategies.
Designed for use with straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1-inch shank diameter with h6 shank tolerance. Intended for non-ferrous metal applications as indicated by the N-class material designation. Part of the ISCAR ECAI-H3-CF Chatter Free series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm the toolholder bore tolerance is compatible with the h6 shank diameter specification to achieve proper runout. Do not exceed the recommended reach-to-diameter ratio for the application, as extended overhang increases deflection risk.
