The ISCAR 5622918 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 0.02 inch corner radius, this single-end mill delivers a blend of roughing and finishing capability in one tool. The variable helix geometry reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts, making it well suited for demanding CNC milling operations. The fine grain carbide substrate provides the edge retention and rigidity needed to maintain tight tolerances across extended production runs. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.
This end mill is built for use in non-ferrous metal applications including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. Its short flute length of approximately 0.79 inches and extended reach of 1.125 inches allow access to features that require clearance beyond the immediate cutting zone. The coarse pitch, three-flute configuration promotes chip evacuation in gummy or high-chip-load materials. It is part of the ECAI-H3-CF series, which is engineered specifically for chatter-free performance. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard end mill holders and collet chucks used on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders and collet chucks. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials. Shank and mill diameter both carry h6 tolerance for precise toolholder fitment. Part of the ISCAR ECAI-H3-CF chatter-free series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is safe to access before installing or removing the end mill. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as runout beyond acceptable limits will degrade edge life and surface finish.
