The ISCAR 5622749 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip in the Multimaster MM ERA series, designed for indexable milling systems where the cutting head detaches from the holder body. Manufactured in the IC08 sub-micrograin carbide grade with a bright uncoated finish, this right-hand tip carries three flutes and a 45-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. It delivers a 0.75-inch cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 0.50 inches, with a functional length of 1.004 inches. Roughing applications across a wide range of workpiece materials are the primary design target. HVAC, plumbing, and general metalworking machinists who run Multimaster-compatible tooling systems install this tip.
This milling tip is suited for roughing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H). It is engineered for high-material-removal-rate passes where a replaceable-tip design reduces downtime compared to solid end mills. The 90-degree lead angle and 0.008-inch corner radius make it appropriate for shoulder milling and step features in production environments. Coolant-through capability is not included in this tip design.
Designed for use with ISCAR Multimaster MM ERA series compatible holder bodies that accept the .750B47R008 insert size interface. Confirm holder compatibility by cross-referencing the MM ERA series insert size designation before ordering.
Installation is performed by machining or toolroom personnel familiar with indexable milling systems. Power down and lock out the machine spindle completely before removing or seating any replaceable milling tip. Use the correct ISCAR torque key or assembly tool for the MM ERA interface to ensure proper seating and runout. Inspect the holder taper and seating surfaces for chips or wear before threading the tip into place.
