The ISCAR 5622747 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip in the MM ERA series, designed for high-productivity milling operations in machining environments. This roughing-style tip uses the MM ERA style interface with a right-hand cut orientation, a 3-flute configuration, and a 45-degree helix angle. The IC08 sub-micrograin carbide grade delivers strength and wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. With a 0.5-inch cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 0.33 inches, this tip is built for aggressive material removal in production milling setups. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for this grade. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians working with Multimaster-style modular tooling systems.
This milling tip is suited for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 90-degree lead angle and 90-degree included angle support square-shoulder milling applications. It fits into MM ERA modular holders and is appropriate for both horizontal and vertical machining center setups where replaceable-tip tooling is preferred over solid-end-mill configurations. The 0.008-inch corner radius reduces edge stress at the tip during entry cuts.
Designed for use with MM ERA series modular milling holders accepting the .500B31R008 insert size. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as indicated by material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
This replaceable milling tip is installed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before changing milling tips. Use the appropriate torque wrench and MM ERA interface tooling per the holder manufacturer instructions to seat the tip correctly. Verify runout after installation before beginning a cut to prevent premature tip failure or workpiece damage.
