The ISCAR 5622712 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision milling operations that require a chamfered edge profile. It features a 0.25-inch cutting diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and a 0.01-inch chamfer width. The 4-flute geometry with a 38-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A TiAlN coating extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge as well as side mill. Machinist and tool-and-die professionals typically install and operate this end mill on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for edge preparation and chamfering operations on workpieces in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The corner chamfer geometry creates a controlled edge break or chamfer in a single pass, reducing secondary deburring operations. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are compatible with standard spindle configurations. The 0.25-inch shank diameter fits standard ER or end mill holders designed for quarter-inch tooling. The 2.5-inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard fixturing setups without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner chamfer end mill for standard quarter-inch end mill holders and collet chucks used in CNC machining centers and manual milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Always power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully engaged in the collet or end mill holder to the recommended grip depth before torquing the retention nut. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use and replace the tool if chipping or coating breakdown is observed.
